Abstract
The elastic constants of single crystal Fe-Ni have been measured up to 1200°C, i.e., far beyond the range of magnetic anomalies. Back-extrapolation from high temperature data, using the continuum model, allows to split off the magnetic contributions. Anomalies stop at TC for the shear constants but extend far above TC for the longitudinal mode and the bulk modulus.
