Abstract

Doping of polyparaphenylene with chlorine, bromine and iodine was performed with halogen vapor at high temperatures (300–700°C). The conductivity reached the value of 150 S/cm. The growth in conductivity was very rapid (5–6 orders of magnitude) between the temperatures of 400–450°C. The halogen content of the doped samples was also determined. The doping time in the case of different dopants (halogens) varied greatly.
