High-temperature chemistry of Y, La and lanthanide trifluorides in RF3–R’F3 systems. Part 2. Phase diagrams of the studied systems

Abstract

The phase diagrams of 34 studied RF3-R’F3systems of trifluorides of rare-earth elements (R) with R ​= ​La–Nd; Gd–Lu,Y are presented and described in this paper. The position of PmF3 in the structural subgroup (SS) B (PmF3-GdF3) was specified, according to which a new order of 10 types of systems (TSs) was given. The phase diagrams of the studied systems are presented for four groups of systems (GSs) as for the chemical classification according to the chemical relationship of the components ΔZ ​= ​|Z(R)–Z(R′)|. Phase diagrams of all studied RF3-R’F3systems have been collected for the first time in a periodical.
