Abstract

Boom, an important part of the loader, in the text, high strength steel material used to the lightweight design, and the boom yield strength 345 MPa of Q345 steel material to substituted for 600 MPa of high strength steel, according to original boom the thickness of the structure to determine the thickness of the boom of high strength steel, and build the lightweight boom model. According to the working equipment of loader shoveling into the working condition, on the original boom and lightweight boom by finite element analysis respectively, by comparing the original lightweight boom and boom of the finite element analysis, determine that the lightweight boom meet the job requirements of the loader, and provides research foundation for engineering machinery lightweight.
