Abstract

Nanocrystalline Ni‐1.7%Co alloy exhibited high ultimate tensile strength of about 1600 MPa and enhanced ductility of 8‐9.6% over a wide strain rate range of 1.04 × 10–6–1.04 s–1 revealed by tensile tests at room temperature. The typical tradeoff characteristic between yield stress and elongation to failure would make this Ni‐1.7%Co alloy for potential use in different applications.
