Abstract
High-spin positive-parity states in 23Na with J>or=11/2 have been calculated with the generator coordinate method and with mixing of projected Hartree-Fock determinants, using the Preedom-Wildenthal two-body matrix elements. Calculated excitation energies transition rates and static moments are compared with those obtained by untruncated shell-model calculations. The rotational structure of these states is also investigated.
