Abstract

Underwater communication is mounting very rapidly as there are a lot of changes happening underneath the sea environment which our researchers are exploring. This paper deals with the effect of water types on underwater optical wireless communication and also investigated the impact of using MZ modulator. The simulation takes place at variable link lengths to observe the effect of different types of water on underwater optical wireless communication. In this paper received signal power, SNR, BER, Q-factor has been calculated using free-space optical (FSO) wireless communication and BER, Q-factor, SNR has been calculated as a function of link distance at a different wavelength. Types of modulators like Amplitude Modulator and MZ Modulator also have been considered in this paper.
