Abstract

A dual-mode dual-band microstrip bandpass filter using the hybrid structure resonator derived from microstrip patch is proposed. Microstrip rectangular rings are used to excite the TE200 mode and TE002 mode of microstrip patch resonator, forming the high-frequency passband while it also works as a resonator which provides the low-frequency passband. The designed filter has 11 transmission zeros, resulting in good selectivity and good out-band rejection, extending the stopband, with a size of 0.45λ g × 0.41λ g. The measured results are in a good agreement with simulated results.
