Abstract

Imaging modalities capable of noninvasive, accurate and feasible perfusion measurement are essential for the preclinical and clinical development of therapeutic angiogenesis. However, the current methods such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, MRI, CT and SPECT suffer from compromises between spatial and temporal resolution. Contrast pulse sequence (CPS) is a novel contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging method that generates real-time perfusion imaging with high contrast agent-to-tissue specificity and spatial resolution.
