Abstract
We have designed and constructed a negative ion threshold photodetachment spectrometer with 3 cm −1 (0.37 meV) resolution. Threshold photodetachment spectra of I − and SH − have been obtained. For SH −, individual rotational transitions between the ion and neutral appear as clearly resolved peaks.
