Abstract
A non-contact, high resolution (2 μm) measurement of jet stream thickness has been performed using an optical ranging technique. By measuring the coherent spike displacement of the non-linear autocorrelation function of partially mode-locked picosecond light pulses, a complete characterization of jet stream profiles has been achieved.
