Abstract
The infrared spectrum of the weakly bound van der Waals complex Ar-CO has been studied in the 2174cm−1 region using a lead salt diode laser spectrometer. We assigned the observed lines to a K a = 0 ← 0 subband. The upper state corresponds to the highest known van der Waals mode of this prototype complex which has been detected so far.
