Abstract

Angular distributions for states up to 4.0 MeV excitation energy have been measured with the 116Sn(p, p') reaction at E p = 25 MeV. They were compared with macroscopic DWBA calculations in order to extract L-values and deformation parameters. Coupled-channels calculations were performed to investigate two-phonon excitations and the mixing between one- and two-phonon states. The results of the present study are compared with other experimental results and with model calculations.
