Abstract
We report operation of a waveguide CO 2 TE laser at excitation pulse repetition frequencies as high as 40 kHz. Quasi-continuous laser output was obtained yielding an average output power of 1.5 W from an active volume of 0.1 cc. Details of laser construction and excitation circuitry are given.
