Abstract
A compact low-pass filter based on the principle of destructive interference is proposed and analyzed, followed by an improved design demonstrating very high rejection levels better than 40 dB over a wide frequency span. Both filters, fabricated using liquid crystal polymer (LCP) multilayer techniques, are self-packaged, with small footprint and profile, and also very lightweight. Simulation and measured results are presented, showing good agreement.
