Abstract

In this paper, we optimized the performance of wireless local area networks, MAC and physical layer behavior plays a vital role in wireless network. In the presence of interference, optimizing physical layer parameters carrier sense threshold, preamble detection, physical layer capture and MAC layer queue length. We demonstrate in our simulation study the effect of high rate traffic for node density in wireless network. We present two ray ground and shadow propagation model of the wireless infrastructure network for simulation. We implement our modeling using NS-2.34 and shown the performance in the form of throughput.
