Abstract

Fungi in the family Venturiaceae cause enormous economic losses in fruit tree agriculture. However, their genomic information is limited, and information on polar strains is nonexistent. We obtained the first genome sequence data with a high-quality assembly of the novel Venturiaceae sp. strain KMAF11 isolated from diseased Colobanthus quitensis, a native flowering plant inhabiting maritime Antarctica. This genome sequence will provide new insights into the underlying mechanism of pathogenicity of strain KMAF11 at the genome level.
