Abstract
Remote sensing technology is known as a technology that has many benefits. In the development of remote sensing technology that use satellite platform, many developers adopt camera technology like spectral or push-broom to get image of the earth continuously. However, camera technology has several backwards, including not able to capture area hidden by clouds and capture in the night condition. Therefore, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) developted. SAR is remote sensing using microwave to collect data. In SAR, antenna required. Designed Antenna has circular polarization to againts the effect of faraday rotation that causes polarization loss factor (PLF)[2]. In this research, designed microstrip antenna will has pentagram-shaped patch with proximity coupled as a feeding method. The antenna will has high purity circular polarization which is has wide axial ratio beamwidth and designed using simulation software with FR-4 Epoxy as a substrate with 4.3 dielectric constant at 1.27 GHz frequencies.
