Abstract

The study of refrigerant condensation in minichannels is a very wide and complicated issue. An important aspect due to the range of the two-phase changes is mathematical and computer modeling. It allows providing calculation of heat transfer coefficient and pressure drops for many different refrigerants under different flow conditions. A mathematical model for the calculation of heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop during condensation of refrigerants in pipe minichannels is presented in this work. The model was obtained in MATLAB software based on conservation equations. The results of the calculations were verified by the authors’ own experimental investigations data and experimental data from the literature. This article concerns the results of R404A, R410A and R407C refrigerants condensation modeling.
