Abstract

In this letter, a high-precision joint in-band/out-of-band (OOB) distortion compensation scheme is proposed to overcome the large modulated bandwidth issue for wideband radio frequency power amplifier linearization. It is achieved by dividing the linearization process into in-band predistortion and OOB suppression, respectively. Experimental results have proven that high-accuracy compensation can be realized by this scheme and the required bandwidth of the in-band and OOB distortion can be controlled flexibly, leading to significant reduction of the system bandwidth requirements.
