Abstract

Induction heating (IH) by using Common Core Transformer (CCT) to increase power of IH system is presented in this research. Its configuration is composed of rectifier circuit, inverter circuit, resonance circuit, and common core transformer. Three-phase diode rectifier circuit is served as input of the system. The inverter circuit has been designed by using parallel full bridge and used IGBT as switch to control the operation of the circuit. LC series resonance circuit is used as output of the inverter. Transformer resonance is designed by using the two primary and single secondary windings with magnetic core together. The magnetic core is made of ferrite material. The experimental results are shown that the output power of IH is increased by parallel inverter with CCT.
