Abstract

Measurements are reported of the attenuation at 9360 mc of full height ferrite slabs in wave guide as a function of ferrite length up to input powers of 120 kw. The ferrites were transversely magnetized to the field for subsidiary resonance. Above the critical power level for the subsidiary resonance the output power was a linear function of the input power with a slope such that the attenuation of that portion of the input power above the critical power was 7.8 db/in. The phase change through the ferrite region was essentially independent of power.
