Abstract

Self-Powered Ultraviolet Photodetector In article number 2100717, Yinmei Lu, Yunbin He, and co-workers demonstrate achievement of high-performance ZnO/PLZT-based self-powered UV photodetectors. The constructive coupling of the ferroelectric depolarization field in PLZT and built-in electric field at ZnO/PLZT interface with a type-II energy band alignment leads to accelerated separation and transport of photogenerated carriers, and thus much enhanced performance of the photodetectors without external power supply.
