Abstract
Many processes in power engineering, chemical and mechanical process engineering and waste disposal engineering make special demands on the plant components. Pumps are often one of the most important of these components. Thus, the selection of the appropriate pump is a decisive prerequisite to the optimum layout and trouble-free economic operation of these plants. The screw pump range Tritec (Fig. 1) newly developed by Allweiler AG allows in many cases a technically and economically better system solution than is possible with conventional pumps. Now, what behaviour and what characteristics does the Tritec pump feature for this better system solution?
