Abstract
Abstract An efficient soil extraction method was developed to quantitatively study the recovery of a set of 6 selected amine and nitro aromatic compounds from soil. These six compounds are as following: 3‐amino benzonitrile, 3‐nitro benzonitrile, o‐chloro aniline, nitrobenzene, 1‐chloro 2‐nitro benzene, 1‐chloro 3‐nitro benzene. Solid phase extraction was used in the clean‐up and the trace enrichment steps of the soil extracts. A “zero soil”; in which possible interferences have been removed was used as reference and the recovery study was quantified by high performance liquid chromatography using ultraviolet detection.
