Abstract

Background: The use of assisted reproductive technology services is associated with an increased risk of multi-fetal pregnancy with attendant adverse fetal outcomes, maternal complications, and associated health care costs. We hypothesized that demand for services and competition among fertility centers would impact practice and, as a consequence, pregnancy rates and high order multiple (HOM) gestation rates.
