Abstract
High-order harmonic generation using the femtosecond pulses propagating through the thin (~0.1 mm) drilled films is demonstrated. The harmonics were observed in the case of double-pulse beams while using various films (Mo, In, polyethylene, paper). The harmonics up to the 25th order were generated during propagation through the drilled polyethylene film. The simplicity, absence of additional source of heating radiation, and artificial optimization using the adjustment of the double pulses have shown the possibility in application of this technique for the high-order harmonic generation in thin ablated films.
