Abstract
A multiplier-free structure for implementing high-order bandpass digital sigma-delta modulators is described. Near-optimum noise suppression in the modulators passband region is attained after coefficient quantisation. High-speed operation is achieved as the critical delay path consists of only two adders in series, independent of the modulator order.
