Abstract

To observe the clinical efficacy of high negative pressure drainage in the treatment of neck lymphatic tuberculosis. A retrospective study was conducted for 143 cases of neck lymphatic tuberculosis from June 2011 to September 2012. There were unilateral (n=91) and bilateral (n=52) cases. The types were nodular (n=27), infiltrating (n=39), abscess (n=47) and ulcer (n=30). All cases underwent debridement, regional lymphadenectomy and drainage with high negative pressure. There was no occurrence of prosopoplegia or accessory nerve injury. Two cases had lymphatic fistula. High negative pressure drainage has definite efficacies for neck lymphatic tuberculosis.
