Abstract

AbstractThe Front Cover image shows the dynamics of photoinduced acetalization catalyzed by an unprecedented highly photoacidic triazolo–triazole derivative. Light as the trigger for this reaction is represented by the stars in the sky at night, as depicted in the image background (an image of the painting “The Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh). Time‐resolved absorption spectroscopy revealed that the early steps of deprotonation give rise to a long‐living species, possibly a triplet state formed by fast intersystem crossing.
