Abstract

Abstract We studied field dependences of magnetic susceptibility and neutron scattering measurements for frustrated normal spinel ZnFe 2 O 4 . Although a peak which is similar to the antiferromagnetic transition is observed at 13 K in the magnetic susceptibility, there is no magnetic long-range order in our neutron scattering measurements. When we measure the magnetic susceptibility under the high magnetic field, the peak position moves toward the high temperature. In the neutron scattering measurements, magnetic diffuse scattering around the nuclear Bragg peaks disappear under the magnetic field of 3 T.
