Abstract

A case of high jejunal atresia with midgut deletion in the newborn is reported. The remnant of proximal jejunum near the ligament of Treitz shared a common supporting mesentery/mesocolon with the remaining midtransverse colon. The patient was managed by side-to-side anastomosis of the jejunal and transverse colonic remnants.
