Abstract

AbstractWe propose a directive broadband and high gain Vivaldi antenna in the Ka‐band (26–40 GHz) for 5G applications. To increase the gain of this antenna, we use a substrate lens and the quasi‐substrate integrated waveguide structure with the aim of reducing reflected waves and emphasizing the traveling waves. With this method, the gain is increased by 4.5 dBi in average and 7.5 dBi in the peak. The antenna has a good impedance matching in the whole band.
