Abstract
The high (∼ GHz range) frequency features of the sinusoidal axi-symmetrical micro-DBD discharge are studied with 2Dt numerical model. It was found that both in the negative and positive driving electrode polarities the electrode current reveals the rather regular “pulse” mode similar to the well-known Trichet pulse structure typically observed in the negative corona discharges in air. The preliminary analyses shown the reason of that is probably the strong nonlinear drift-diffusion-ionization interaction near the electrode surface.
