Abstract

A review of the main approximations to the induced current on a two-dimensional perfectly conducting scatterer at high frequency is presented. Special attention is given to the on-surface radiation condition (OSRC) technique. The technique gives reasonably accurate currents with relative ease. An iterative refinement may be done using the bi-conjugate gradient method in connection with a proper integral equation of second order. The inclusion of the OSRC current overcomes the non-uniqueness associated with the integral equations at the internal resonances.
