Abstract

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of high frequency color Doppler ultrasonography for peripheral superficial hemangioma. Methods The data on imaging features of ultrasonography and postoperative pathological findings were retrospectively analyzed in 56 patients with hemangioma confirmed by pathological examinations. The data were compared. Results Ultrasound findings revealed that of 56 patients with hemangioma,18 patients developed solid hemangioma,10 developed cystic cavernous hemangioma, and 28 developed mixed hemangioma.Pathological typing showed capillary hemangioma was in 15 patients, cavernous hemangioma in 29,and cirsoid hemangioma in 12.Conclusions High frequency color Doppler ultrasonogranphy has important value in the diagnosis of peripheral superficial hemangioma.
