Abstract

The paper describes a simple, rapid and accurate method for determining from a single series of experimental observations the inductance, self-capacity and resistance of a coil at radio frequency. The method is essentially one applicable to routine experimentation and to meet that end a special table for entering results has been devised. As far as the measurement of resistance is concerned, the method is due to P. W. Willans, but as can be seen it can be effectively extended to cover measurement of inductance and capacity. The paper concludes with a brief note on the measurement of the self-capacity of such coils as high frequency chokes.
