Abstract
In China there are several laboratories which have pulsed magnetic fields up to 30–40 T. A study of 50 T pulsed magnets has been carried out. A hybrid-magnet project to obtain steady fields up to 20 T is also being carried out. In various laboratories, research on high-field magnetization processes, anistropy of rare-earth compounds, magnetophonon resonance of two-dimensional electron systems and the high-field properties of superconducting materials is performed.
