Abstract

In-plane magnetoresistance (MR) and Hall effect of Bi 2Sr 2CuO x crystals with T c=4– 9.5 K were investigated in DC magnetic fields up to 28 T . For T<10 K the crystals show a classical positive MR. Above 14 K , a negative MR appears. The linear T-dependence of cot Θ H in the normal state closely resembles that of the normal-state resistivity as expected for a Fermi-liquid picture.
