Abstract

The high-field magnetization process of Sm2(Fe1−xGax)17 compounds (x = 0 – 0.5) has been investigated. Substitution of Ga for Fe leads to an increase of the spin reorientation temperature. A tentative spin phase diagram is proposed. The magnetization of magnetically aligned samples was measured at 4.2 K in quasi-static fields up to 21 T.
