Abstract

High-Field magnetization and magnetoresistance up to ∼55 T in Ce x La 1- x Ru 2 Al 10 ( x = 1, 0.75) have been measured and the critical fields H c p to the paramagnetic region were determined. For the applied magnetic filed H along c -axis, the magnetization curve shows the H -linear increase at 1.3 K which is seen in an antiferromagnet with a small magnetic anisotropy. The concave magnetization curve and a decreases of the magnetization as large as 30% below T 0 for H ∥ a -axis is difficult to explain by the simple antiferro magnetic order with the antiferro magnetic component parallel to the c -axis. Also in the magnetoresistance, we recognized H c p . Although the residual resistivity ρ 0 at H = 0 is large, ρ 0 above H c p is very small. The farmer indicates the existence of a large magnetic scattering at H = 0 and the latter indicates that the ground state above H c p is a normal metallic one.
