Abstract

The paper discusses full spectrum of spin fluctuating systems, i.e. one-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet with spin-Peierls transition, CuGeO 3, and a typical oxide high- T c superconductor, La 2− x Sr x CuO 4, with two-dimensional nature in the spin correlation. Their spin excitation spectra have some similarity with each other and unexplainable temperature evolution with a sharp feature in the phase space. The latter may be explainable by quasi-particle excitation from spin singlet states. These observations have been obtained for the first time according to the recent development of pulsed neutron technique.
