Abstract

We have prepared a radio-fluorogenic gel, i.e. a gel that becomes fluorescent when exposed to high-energy radiation. This has been used to make fixed fluorescent images of the (masked) cross-section and depth-dose profile of a 3MV electron beam. The images are formed instantaneously and can be digitally recorded and scanned with a spatial resolution of ca. 0.1mm.
