Abstract

The K-shell internal conversion coefficients were calculated for every fifth value of the atomic number Z from Z = 30 to Z = 100 for lowest four electric and magnetic transition multipoles. The finite nuclear size effect and screening by atomic electrons were considered precisely in the energy region from 6 to 9.5 mc 2 and approximately for energies from 12 to 20 mc 2. The K/(L + M) conversion coefficient ratios equal roughly 8.7, 6.6 and 4.3 for Z = 30, 60 and 95, respectively, independently of the transition energy and multipolarity. In the considered energy region, the internal conversion in the s-subshells is found to be dominant.
