Abstract

The cases of ball lightning (BL) energy estimations when the energy density of its substance was greater than $10^{10}~$ J/ $\mathrm{m}^{3}$ are described. The high energy can be explained if one assumes that BL energy is a kinetic energy of elements of its core. It is shown that moving particles may be kept inside a heterogeneous system, composed of a unipolarly charged core and a dielectric cover.
