Abstract

Low temperature specific heat measurements in the range of l.4 to 4.2°K were made with the three h.c.p. alloys: Fe 28Ru 72, Fe 54Ru 46 and Fe 64Ru 36. It is shown that the large increase of the specific heat term linear in temperature in this alloy system probably corresponds to a change in density of electronic states and it is not due to a magnetic contribution to the specific heat.
