Abstract

In the separation of the vapor-phase products of cracking from spent microbead catalyst at the outlet from a riser reactor, improvements in separation efficiency and curtailment of the separation time will reduce the extent of secondary reactions in the separation chamber of the reactor, thereby lowering the coke and dry gas make and increasing the distillate yields.
