Daily vitamin D3 supplementation at higher than standardized doses for the first two years of life decreases the risk of psychiatric symptoms at ages 6 to 8 years, a new study has found. The study, a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial with 346 children, found that those randomized to higher vitamin D3 supplementation were less likely to have clinically significant internalizing problems later.
