Abstract

This paper presents high bandwidth DC voltage and current measurements of the DC bus of an electric vehicle (EV). The aim is to capture higher frequency components generated by the main inverter. With this paper, we make the raw data public for researchers e.g., to conduct further investigations, to verify simulations or to use the data for big data analysis/ neural networks. The measurement setup is explained, and detailed data analysis is conducted. The current ripple is evaluated for a steady state operation point in time and frequency domain, and a method is presented to extract the speed of the EV, using the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) based on the data of a transient operation point.
