Abstract

A novel interface precipitation method has been developed to synthesize hierarchically structured ZnO nanocrystallite aggregates. Such synthesized ZnO nanocrystallite aggregates demonstrated as promising structure for high power conversion efficiency when used as photoelectrode in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). It has large specific surface area, efficient dye-loading and effective light scattering within the photoelectrode. Such structured ZnO film annealed at different temperature was analyzed and a power conversion efficiency of 5.07% has been obtained with annealed at 300 oC.
